Quick review on music important genres

I have wanted to start a blog for a long time. As a musician, I love sharing my passion for music with other people. Technology has made impressive advancements in recent years, and the power of the internet cannot be ignored. Gone are the times when you only knew the people in your area. With a blog, I can connect with other souls who appreciate the harmony that music inspires within. I took advice from other bloggers and started mine. My blog begins with an introduction to music and its types and then in-depth discussion into each genre.

Rock Music

Now music can be classified into many types and basis. You can differentiate it with specific timeframes like 80s jam to modern rock. I have noticed that my primary audience is attracted to blogs related to popular music. In recent years the most revolutionary type that has influenced millions is rock music. It started from United States with the motto of rock and roll. It has been entertaining people since 1950, and initially, it was played on string instruments, but now modern instruments like electric guitars have taken center stage. The theme and pace of rock and roll have changed so much during the years that it's hard to place it in one definition. What makes it unique is that it's loud, upbeat, and like no other, especially appealing to the youth. Some incredible artists that have graced this genre for years are Little Richard, Bill Haley, and Chuck Berry. Rock bands like Pink Floyd, The Doors, Metallica, Nirvana, and Megadeth are modern bands that changed how rock music is preserved.

Jazz Music

When we think of music genres, we often hear or think of the word Jazz. It holds a special place in music lovers, and the word jazz brings in a picture of a 90s scene with swings, blue notes, and chill vibes. Not surprisingly, Jazz has its roots both in the West African and European culture. What's interesting is that Jazz is often known as Americas original art forms. It is delicate, creative, and pure magic. It started in the late 90s to the early 2000s, and although it is not the most popular genre in modern music, its influence still lingers everywhere making it one of the most popular types. There are many legends in the world of Jazz music, including Ella Fitzgerald, Betty Carter, Abbey Lincoln, and Ethel Waters.

Pop Music

When we talk about popular music, the crown goes to ‘'pop'' music. Literally derived from the popularity, it has been ruling in recent years. It's not one genre to be exact; instead, it derives its roots from others. Pop music took influence from rock and roll that included music ranging from urban and dance to rock, country, and Latin. Also, lots of instruments like drums and guitars are used. Its popularity exploded with artists like Britney Spears, Madonna, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga and of course the "King of Pop," Michael Jackson. It is a vibrant mix of creativity, new ideas, and unique beats. It is also a favorite of mine, and I have shared extensive articles on the influence of Pop music, its origins, and future attributes. I can go on forever, sharing my music. Another new popular genre is Electronic Dance Music. It is relatively new and growing in popularity. DJs mix beats and tunes to create jams that rock a club or your headphones. I like to say it's the new black of the rock and roll world. I hope my passion and love for music reaches all corners of the world. I get to interact and even learn from souls like mine, and that's more than I can ever hope for.
